Diggers NZ is an integral part of our build process. We are asked to build highly specified homes often on difficult terrain. Diggers NZ for us are involved literally from start to finish – they demolish any existing buildings and clear the sites; they excavate our foundations and footings. JD Homes has used Diggers NZ for a number of years now. The joint partnership started over many technical sites in the port hills where we required experienced operators. We had great confidence in the team on site led by the foreman. I can recall one job on a very steep site which had many hard-to-reach areas, it was required for a very large machine to lift a smaller machine which then passed a small machine down through the site to reach the working area.
