Earthworks - residential site cuts 

Our client is constructing x 2 new homes in Mahurangi Heights subdivision. Our scopes of work included: 

  • Installation and maintenance of sediment control across both sites 
  • Top soil strip 
  • Excavation/ backfill of house foundations, driveways, paths and outdoor areas 
  • Retaining wall batter excavation/ backfill 

Project Achievements

  • Identified cost saving opportunity to reuse site clay to form part of the backfill. Clay was stabilized with lime to met geotech requirements. 
  • Worked closely with retaining wall builder to assist with wall excavation/ backfill.
